The Transport Select Committee held in January 2012 heard evidence that
…. ‘The ability to have a test, repair and retest on the same premises, often on the same day, generates different behaviour to most of the rest of Europe, where stand-alone test stations are the norm.’
Jim Punter asserted to the Committee that “The British test is probably the best in Europe” and later, “It is perhaps a big contributory factor as to why, historically, we have among the very best road safety record in the world.”
Makes you proud to be British, doesn’t it?
