What is a routine service?
Routine servicing will always include an engine oil and oil filter change and visual inspection of wipers/lights/levels/brakes/tyres. This is a basic service.
There are many ‘higher levels’ of service; to include changing air/pollen/fuel filters/spark plugs and removing wheels to inspect brakes physically.
Why should I have a routine service?
Routine servicing enhances the efficiency of engine running. It therefore increases your mpg and lengthens the life expectancy of your car.
When should I book one?
Each vehicle will have a service schedule associated with it. A service should be carried out according to this schedule – it will be, for example, every 20,000 miles or 2 years. We can advise you if you’re unsure where to find this information.
How much does it cost?
That will vary depending on your vehicle and which service is needed. We can email you a free estimate.
How long does it take?
Between 1-4 hours depending on the service level.
Don’t I have to have the servicing carried out by the main agent?
In a word, no. We carry out servicing to the exact standard of the main agents and can use genuine manufacturer parts if desired/necessary.
As a rule, when the vehicle is out of warranty (usually 3 years old) we can fit after market parts which are cheaper.
