MOT modernisation is a national project being run by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). It is being rolled out throughout the country over a 5 month period and, as the name suggests, is updating the method used to carry out MOT tests. Today was our turn, and the switchover has (so far) been as smooth as could be expected.
The only change a motorist will see is that the MOT certificates now look like this:
I asked Bobby, our MOT tester, for his comments on the new system. A master of the English language, he replied ‘I don’t mind it at all’. High praise indeed!
On a serious note, congratulations must go to the DVSA on a well implemented roll out and as ever a huge thank you to our staff for managing the preparation for today and implementing the change so positively.
