More good news for British car manufacturers

New research published earlier this week shows cars built in Britain have among the highest rates of passing their MOT test first time. The Swindon-built Honda Jazz is most likely to pass the first test. By contrast, French and German built cars have among the lowest pass rates when it comes to the first health check.

More than half of cars overall – 53 per cent – failed their obligatory mechanical health-check on lighting, with headlamp aim being the most common failure point.
