We have noticed a huge increase in cars not starting because of battery failure. Not particularly surprising at this time of year – battery failure is much more common in cold temperatures.
What you can do:
1. If your battery is older than 5 years or beginning to struggle, get it replaced
2. Check everything electrical is turned off when you leave your car – think interior lights, boot lights, radio.
3. Before starting a cold car switch everything electrical off and dip the clutch.
4. Bring your car to us – we can test your battery and replace it if needed BEFORE you break down! Testing is free.
