Cost of motoring is headline news today

Plans to pilot fuel price comparison signs on major roads and freeze the cost of the MoT test have been announced by the government. The steps are part of a package of measures from next year aimed at bringing down costs for motorists. Ministers have also pledged to crack down on the “compensation culture” on claims for whiplash injuries.

The statutory maximum price of the MoT test for a car would remain at £54.85 until 2015.

At PR Motors the MOT cost is £30 if booked with any service. We also include a FREE MOT retest if your vehicle fails, and a FREE local collect and deliver service.

We continue to be aware of the high cost of motoring. Do ask us about ways to reduce it for you – regular servicing and maintenance of vehicles will significantly reduce your running costs, and make motoring a safer and more pleasant experience.
